The 2009 Scion xB maintains the status quo from last year's major redesign. Still standard is a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i). The engine is also found in the Scion tC and Toyota's Camry, and it makes a sprightly 158 horsepower. It is paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
